Sixty middle and high school scholarship students at ADIVIMA headquarters, Rabinal, Guatemala. All live in extreme poverty. Two-thirds of the students are girls who normally have little educational opportunity.

Unique among scholarship programs, it is administered solely by

the indigenous people it serves—not by outside organizations.

Donations are handled through DIGNO, a federal tax-exempt organization 501(c)3 — EIN 81-3889437

Mayan human rights organization ADIVIMA works to rebuild their community after the massacres of the 1980s. Scholarships prepare future leaders.

ADIVIMA was founded in 1994 by the survivors of the displacements and massacres related to the Chixoy Dam. The 60 scholarship students and their parents meet regularly to reinforce the importance of education and reinforce the requirements of the program.
