Delegates meet with ADIVIMA staff.

ADIVIMA is a grassroots organization that has succeeded in obtaining justice for the atrocities committed against the Mayan people in their area. All members of the staff are themselves survivors of the genocide.

They have built an organization that includes their own legal staff which takes the government to court frequently to capture massacre perpetrators and demand reparations for lost lands.

Their financial department strictly controls donated funds and is audited by the government.

The social services department facilitates the exhumation of mass graves and closure for families of missing persons.

Their cultural identity department promotes the traditional Mayan ceremonies, art and music by enlisting elders to teach youth.
